The UH Paralegal program gives you the educational credentials and the skills you need to become a paralegal in the State of Texas.

The purpose of this website is to allow instruction and information to be in one place for the convenience of current UH Paralegal students.

The Paralegal Certificate Program at UH provides excellent training for future paralegals. The curriculum was written specifically for this program by Jac Brennan, an experienced attorney and educator. The course, offered by the Continuing Education Program at UH, is provided on weekends, as well as evenings, allowing students the choice of an accelerated weekend program or an evening class schedule.

The curriculum is practical and skills-based, with the vast majority of the class time devoted to learning procedures and actual paralegal skills. Substantive law covering special legal topics are addressed largely through guest speakers, mainly attorneys, who present and take questions about the particular area of the law in which they practice. Professional paralegals will also talk to the class about the profession.
